Copper+Oak is a restaurant branding and hospitality design studio in Dallas–Fort Worth for independent restaurateurs — the ones building something personal, not franchising a formula. We work at the intersection of brand, space, and operations because a restaurant that looks incredible but bleeds money isn’t a success story. It’s a cautionary tale.

Copper is the brand. Oak is the backbone.

Most designers study restaurants. We’ve run them. Most consultants can’t design a logo. We speak both languages — the creative and the operational — so nothing gets lost in translation.

From brand identity and interior concept design to kitchen workflow and menu development, we give first-time operators something rare: a single partner who sees the whole picture.

The Process

every restaurant concept goes through four stages.

We specialize in all four. Tell us where you are in the journey and we’ll meet you there — then take you the rest of the way.

stage 1: brand + concept

Look the part

We listen before we design. Your brand is the first thing people feel before they ever walk through the door — naming, story, logo, color, typography, voice, and early menu direction carried consistently from screen to signage.

stage 2: space + design

Design the experience

Location scouting, interior design concept, liaison with architects, and visual systems. We build this with you. Sight lines, lighting, and flow are engineered so the space looks stunning and actually works on a busy night.

stage 3: operations + menu

Build the backbone

Kitchen workflow, staffing models, vendor relationships, menu development, and the systems that keep service moving — from cost targets and production planning to POS and reservation tools that support the way you run the room.

stage 4: launch + ongoing

Run with confidence

Opening night isn't the finish line — it's the proof. We stay through soft opens, staff training, and the first real services to make sure systems hold, and can stay on as a partner for menu cycles, marketing, and operational refinement.
